Sri Lanka’s Cricket Champions Sri Lanka in majestic win to take Asia Cup

The Sri Lanka team made a superb team effort to win the sixth Asia Cup cricket title when they beat Pakistan by 23 runs at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium. Sri Lanka chased the target and recorded their victory with three overs to spare. Sri Lanka batted first after losing the toss and made a comfortable total of 170/6 as they defended that total with a superb fighting spirit to clinch the title for the sixth time under the full capacity of Dubai grounds while most of them were Pakistani supporters ended up disappointed with back to back defeats from Sri Lanka.
Export Revenue of BOI Enterprises up to September 2022 Surpass US$6 Bn
The Board of Investment (BOI) takes pride to announce the remarkable resilience shown by its enterprises, in the face of recent economic challenges and unprecedented sequences of events with the merchandise exports of the enterprises amounting to US$ 6.6 Bn during the period from January to September 2022. This is a 16% growth compared to the corresponding period of 2021. “The BOI has always been the forerunner of Sri Lanka’s export industry contributing over 65% to the country’s overall export earnings and 85% to the national industrial export earnings,” said BOI Chairman Raja Edirisuriya.

he second leg of the 76th Bradby shield rugby encounter between Trinity College and Royal College was held last month in Kandy with team Captain Byron Fernando as Chief Guest. It was an unforgettable special time for former team members and friends to reunite. Many memorable team events were held throughout Bradby week culminating with the Bradby Shield encounter and the traditional Rugger Ball. Recipes From Roma’s Kitchen
JAPCHAI (Korean Noodle Speciality)
Ingredients
4 cooked potions of dangmeon cooked sweet potato starch noodles
1 Carrot, peeled and julienned
1/2 Onion, cut into 1/4″ slices
2 cups oyster mushrooms, cut into bitesized pieces
1 1/2 TBSP white granulated sugar
3 TBSP Soya Sauce
2 tspn. vegetable oil
Pinch of Black Pepper (optional)
1 tspn. roasted Sesame seeds (optional)
STEP 1
If Danmyeon noodles are long, carefully cut
the noodles with scissors to make them fit
the diameter of the diameter of the inner pot.
Lay the noodles in a criss-cross pattern to prevent
clumping.
STEP 2
Lay the Carrots, Onions and mushrooms on top
of noodles.
STEP 3.
In a small bowl, whisk sugar, soy sauce, vegetable oil,
and 3/4 cup of water until well combined.
Drizzle liquid over the vegetables and noodles.
These quantities are sufficient to serve four or you
can serve it as a side dish. I once served it with a
Sri Lankan Shrimp Curry and it was very nice.You
can even put some sauteed Shrimp in a little Chilli
Sauce (not too much) or just drizzle with a spoon on
top of the whole dish.
