A Standing Ovation for an Outstanding Toast by Royal OBA Past President Dr Gnana Sankaralingam

A speech was delivered off hand by Dr Gnana Sankaralingam, Past President of ORAUK, as toast for Royal College at the annual Blue and Gold ball of Royal OBA (ORAUK) held on April 25th in Hyatt Thames view, 5 star hotel in central London. He was given a standing ovation at the end of the toast. This Royal OBA event is a truly black tie function held annually in a five star hotel in central London. It is the only Sri Lankan event where a toast for the old school is delivered. After the three course meal, toasts are made followed by dance floor opened by president and partner. Dancing is strictly ball room unlike other dances.
It is the best Sri Lankan event in the UK.
